Making a Good First Impression really helps you sell your Naples Home

Sold house in Naples Everyone has heard the saying First Impressions Count!  They count for lots of things, from first dates to the first day at school, the first interview!  Why, because if the person you are trying to impress will have other options, they will normally go for the one that makes the best impression first.

Selling your home is the same, if you have inadequate photos of your home for sale online, then customers will likely skip over them to look at the flashy photos of a home that actually may not be as good as yours.

When selling your Naples home, there are a couple of things you really should insist on, one of these is the use of a professional photographer!  A good Realtor® already knows this and has one waiting in the wings, if a prospective Realtor whips out a camera, beware, or at least ask if they are professional!  A bad photograph is worse than no photograph at all, pictures that are too small, only show furniture rather than the house itself, are low quality or show a messy house are doing you no favors at all when it comes to selling your home in Naples, or anywhere else for that matter.

The other thing that is important, to my mind, at any rate, is to have your Realtor list your home when they have everything prepared and ready.  Every day in Naples new homes are put up for sale if your home has no photographs at all, it is better than a bad photograph, one bad picture can put buyers off your house forever.  It may be worth waiting a couple of days until they are ready.  In the same way that a bad photo is detrimental to the sale of your home, listing a home without a photo could mean that your house is skipped over on the very first day it is launched onto MLS.  This matters because a good agent will search new homes for their clients daily, if yours was launched and skipped over, there is a good chance they will not look at it the next day either.

Another important first impression is the one prospective clients get when they first visit your home, from the moment they walk through your front gate they are assessing your property, the landscaping, how clean your windows are, when the house was last painted.  Taking a little time to prepare your house to give maximum curb appeal to buyers is well worth doing.  Sometimes all it takes is a little elbow grease cleaning doors, power washing your driveway, putting fresh mulch on your flower beds, or simply placing a colorful cheery plant by your front door.

Do some interviewing yourself, talk to as many Realtors in Naples as you can, make sure you are both on the same page. Take your time rather than rush when it comes to selling your house, first impressions do count and a little spring cleaning, spending some time getting your home ready and presenting it properly can make all the difference in how fast your home sells.
