Videos of 5th Avenue South and Tin in Naples

Tin City Naples FloridaI have lived in a few places, but Naples in Florida is my favorite, it's warm and sunny, the winter is delightful with temperatures in the 70's or '80s, and the cool winter evenings are my favorite.

Winter snowbirds (seasonal residents who come from the colder states to spend their winters) flock down in November. It's then that the town comes alive.

Naples is unique, Olde Naples and 5th Avenue South evoke memories of a time gone by, with old and new buildings nestled side by side. In the winter, the whole of Naples lights up during the holidays a Christmas Tree together with snow and festive carols give a real holiday feel to the area.

In the evening, the streets of Naples are alive with people strolling and shopping at the many beautiful stores, visiting art galleries or going to watch the sunset on the beach.

Take a short drive or bike ride south along Gordon Drive, and you will come to the most exclusive area in Naples, Port Royal.  Here you will find luxury homes hidden away.

Another area Tin City is just that a city made of tin! Its located only a block away from downtown Olde Naples. The tin buildings nestle on the side of the bay, restaurants here have diners come by boat and by land. Tin city is full of tourist shops, shells, clothes, candle stores, even a winery! Whether just browsing the stores, or sitting in an outside restaurant overlooking the passing boats, Tin City is a popular destination.
