Video of 5th Avenue South and Tin City in Naples Florida
I've lived in a few places, but Naples in Florida is my favorite, its warm and sunny, the winter is delightful with temperatures in the 70's or 80's with cool evenings, but not too cool to sit out and barbecue. The winter snowbirds (seasonal residents who come from the colder states to spend their winters) flock down in November, then, the town really comes alive, Naples is unique, Old Naples and 5th Avenue South evoke memories of a time gone by, old buildings sit nestled side by side, the square outside the theatre is decorated with a huge Christmas Tree during the holidays, in fact, the whole of Naples lights up once the Winter Season arrive. In the evening the streets of Naples are alive with people strolling along the street, either to shop at the wonderful stores, to visit art galleries or the theatre, some just to walk down to the beach and watch the sun go down over the horizon.
Take a short drive or bike ride south along Gordon Drive and you will come to the most exclusive area in Naples, Port Royal.
Tin City, is just that a city made of tin! Its located only a block away from downtown Old Naples, nestled on the side of the bay, with docks to tie up to, the restaurants here have diners come by boat and by land, Tin city is full of tourist shops, shells, clothes, candle stores even a winery! Walking the stores, or sitting in an outside restaurant overlooking the passing boats, Tin City is not to be missed.
