Dog Friendly Beaches in Naples FloridaThe joys of moving. Finding a great realtor in Naples then viewing homes, finally finding the property of your dreams, and then signing the paperwork.

But what if there was an unexpected hiccup in the proceedings? What if you found the perfect condo on the beach only to discover the HOA doesn't allow for pets! This may seem outlandish to dog lovers like us but this really does happen more often than you would think.

My wife and I love our animals. We have owned many throughout our marriage, and dogs have been an integral part of our family from the start. We could not imagine leaving them behind to move to a new home, it would feel like leaving a child.

We understand how you may feel as a dog owner that is preparing for a move to Naples, FL, we

Times change and so do styles and ideas, for years designers and architects have styled their homes on a somewhat similar concept. Houses are traditionally built with a living room, dining room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and maybe an office. All over the world, homes have similar features and include most of these basic rooms.

But things have changed and the way they have moved on in Naples is affecting the sales of existing homes. The way we live our lives has changed and therefore our homes have been altered to accommodate our needs. We all used to lock ourselves in our own little space, be it a bedroom, office or kitchen, privacy was important, using a landline for instance with everyone listening made walls important. Privacy is still important,

If you're looking for a tennis community in Naples, then look no further!  Longshore Lake is a gem of a community, nestled away in North Naples, with mature oaks everywhere and homes built on an island which is only accessible over a bridge.

Longshore Lake has a wonderful active tennis community, staffed by a full-time pro with lots of opportunities to improve your tennis game.  The huge 88-acre lake which meanders around the homes is accessible for fishing and none powered boats.  The vast majority of homes are waterfront with views out across the lake.

One of the things that hit you as you drive into Longshore lake is the lush landscaping, the Oaks are magnificent and give plenty of shade in the heat of the summer.   Located on the north side of

Waterfront property is always high in demand in Naples. The market in Naples has been extremely hectic over the summer months, a time when we normally expect a slowdown and the chance to take a break, this year, however, the slow down has not arrived. Our agents are busy with clients, but the one thing I hear over and over again is that inventory of homes for sale in Naples is very low.  Most of the bargain foreclosure and short sale homes have been snatched up long ago, those that do come onto the market are sold very quickly normally to investors who make it their full-time job to be ready and waiting as soon as a property is released for sale.  What we are seeing at the moment is lots of these foreclosed homes coming back onto the market, fully refurbished, new carpets, tile, kitchens and bathrooms, all

Are the homes in Eden on the Bay in Naples good value?

Clubhouse and swimming pool at Eden on the Bay, Naples. As a Realtor, I am often asked which homes in Naples are the ‘best buy’.  The best buy for one person may not be the same a the best buy for another.  I deal with properties up and down the Gulf, along which there are lots of high-end luxury homes.  In talking to a client the other day Eden on the lake came up in conversation.  So I decided to take a closer look at this hidden away community close to the Gulf.

I found this to be an intimate enclave of luxury homes in the perfect location, on the Gulf side of Vanderbilt extension. A gated entranceway provides access only to residents and visitors of residents.

I loved the fact that it is surrounded by hedges and extremely well kept tropical

Village Walk in Naples is getting a facelift, at least the front entrance is and probably some of the other structures.    Village walk is one of Naples older communities, there are homes here from 1995.  Set around its own mini town center, Village Walk is great if you like to stay close to home, with its own small gas station, post office, ice cream parlor and even a beauty parlor, it's easy to never leave.

The entrance way is in the middle of getting a facelift, often work like this is carried out over the summer months to cause minimum disruption to winter residents, winter is the busiest time of year in Naples, so often communities such as Village Walk take their time preparing, then work to improve the community in the heat of the summer.  This

With acreage becoming scarce in Naples, the opportunity to build a new community is getting slimmer, most of the new communities are now being built on the outskirts of town. To compensate for this there are major roadworks going on at the moment, with road widening especially along Collier Blvd at the junction of the I75, also the long awaiting Rattlesnake extension which will give many of the newer communities to the east of Naples, easy access to downtown.    However, there are a few smaller pockets of land closer in, which are being snapped up by builders, one such is Mandalay Place, located on Bailey Lane which is off Airport Pulling Road, Mandalay Place is in a superb location and will surely be a sought after community, once construction commences.

Obama and Boehner discuss the fiscal cliff and how to save the housing market

While I sit here writing this at 8 pm on Saturday, December 29, most of the people in the city are out enjoying their evening. Be it dinner and drinks, shopping, or visiting one of the many fantastic local bars, Americans everywhere are carrying on like normal, contributing to a recovering economy under the caring guidance of government tax breaks and growing consumer confidence.

It all seems great on the surface, people out spending money, having a good time. That is until you take into consideration the fact that this may well be the best weekend that our economy enjoys for a while.

The fiscal cliff looms, and it is not something to be ignored. With a politically divided country, and thus a divided government, it sometimes seems that nothing
